BRADENTON, Florida [NMT] -- The 2005 Manatee County Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Expo at the DeSoto Square Mall in Bradenton on Saturday was a huge success, according to the Expo's organizer, Rob Day, Manatee County Emergency Management Hazard Mitigation Specialist.
Although Michigan may not be at risk for hurricanes and the extensive damage they cause, it’s still at risk for flooding and major rain. On average, Michigan gets one major flood every 100 years.
